Setup

Connect Minds to Claude on claude.ai, in Claude Desktop, or in Claude Code. Sign in with your Minds account over OAuth; an API key is optional.

claude.ai and Claude Desktop

1. Open Customize → Connectors, click +, and choose Add custom connector.
2. Enter https://getminds.ai/mcp as the remote MCP server URL and click Add.
3. Click Connect, sign in to Minds, and choose Allow.
4. In a conversation, enable Minds from + → Connectors.

On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner first adds the connector under Organization settings → Connectors; each member then connects their own Minds account.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http minds https://getminds.ai/mcp

Run /mcp, select minds, and choose Authenticate to sign in with OAuth. To use an API key instead, add --header "Authorization: Bearer minds_YOUR_API_KEY" to the command.

Claude Desktop with an API key

Without OAuth, add Minds as a local connector in claude_desktop_config.json and restart Claude Desktop:

Create the key in Settings → API Keys. Keep it out of prompts, screenshots and shared files.
